Unveil "Secret of Plain of Jars" 2 days

Day 1: Vientiane - Xiengkhouang (D)

We board a short afternoon flight to Xiengkhouang - the center of a kingdom of the Hmong (Meo) people. In 1832, it was conquered by the Vietnamese who annexed the entire region.

Upon arrival, we transfer out to visit the Plain of Jars, an impressive archaeological site where hundreds of large stone jars are littered over a vast plateau.

In the afternoon we will visit the ancient capital of Muang Khoun Province and the nearby villages which are home to the Hmong hill tribe and Tai Dam people.

These tribes have an interesting local culture and a colorful history.

Tonight, we stay  in Phonsavanh - The most prominent location adjoining the Plain of Jars.

Day 2:  Xiengkhuoang - Vientiane (B)
After breakfast, finish the visits and see the local market before transferring to the airport for your flight back to Vientiane.
