One of the highlights of Laos is the former royal capital of Luang Prabang
in the northern mountains. Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, there
is little traffic on the streets and monks in saffron robes carrying black
umbrellas to shade themselves are a familiar sight.

On this trip we explore the former royal capital Luang Prabang, nestled in
the valleys of the mountainous north. The current capital Vientiane is ideal
for exploring by foot or bicycle. We also take an exciting trek through the
Phuo Khao Khouay national park area, one of Laos’ most beautiful natural
reserves and home to herds of rare wild elephants.
